Welding of reinforcement
Bathroom welding is that the gap between the rods creates a bath of molten metal, the upper layer is maintained in a liquid state during the entire period of welding. The metal is melted and quickly, under a layer of molten slag, less oxidized, so that weld strength increases to equal strength of the reinforcing rod.
Electroslag welding is used to connect the horizontal rods. As the electrodes used steel plate or comb of the bare wire. Welding is carried out under a layer of flux on a removable copper form.
In comparison with the electro-slag welding welding bath is faster and does not require high-quality electrodes.
Spot welding is used to connect intersecting reinforcing bars, grids, and flat frames.
Spot welding frames with a diameter of 8 mm is made on the one-point machines with pedal power, frames a diameter of 12 mm - driven by an electric motor, and with diameters up to 16mm rods - with a pneumatic actuator.
